Our fast growing multidisciplinary clinic is looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to join our team.

About Healthier Living Health Centre:

Healthier Living Health Centre is not your typical healthcare clinic. We are a relatively new and rapidly growing multidisciplinary clinic with several compassionate, caring and highly skilled professionals: osteopaths, naturopathic doctors, psychotherapists, dietitian, physiotherapist and life and wellness coach, located in the medical building in Central South Mississauga with free onsite parking.

We help people transform and live happier, healthier, active and radiant lifestyle, the natural way, without harmful pills, injections & surgeries.

We specialize in helping people who had no or limited results with previous treatments even if their Doctor told them that it can’t happen because of their MRI or X-Ray results and even if they themselves think that nothing else can be done. Responsibilities:

•    Provide deep tissue and relaxation massages using techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point release, and joint mobilization
– Manual Lymphatic Drainage trained therapist preferred, not a must
• Execute clinical assessments and implement treatment plans for clients
• Monitor client progress and provide ongoing evaluation
• Communicate important information and educate clients on treatment strategies
• Keep accurate, up-to-date clinical records
• Work with other therapists and external stakeholders as needed
• Participate in continuous learning to further enhance skills
• Ability to work through situations with professionalism and confidentiality
– Participate in team meetings
– Be involved in clinic marketing campaigns

Skills and Experience:

• Registered member and in good standing with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
• Experience working as a Registered Massage Therapist
• New graduates are welcome to apply

We are looking for an Executive Administrator / Customer Service Representative. In this role you’ll have the important task of being the first point of contact with the patients of our practice. We are looking for a person with previous experience in delivering exceptional customer service, sales and admin/office work. You must demonstrate extraordinary attention to detail and be comfortable with talking to strangers, both in person and on the phone as well as a self-starter.

This role requires you to have the following skills and expertise:

  • Personality: very friendly, pleasant, chatty,  honest, reliable – someone who has positive outlook on life, flexible, open to change and committed to learning.
  • Work ethic: This is a job for someone who is doer, hardworking, proactive, open to learning, following instructions, takes initiative and goes above and beyond to complete the tasks at hand. Not for people who need to be told what to do and how to do it.
  • Organizational skills:must be able to multitask and prioritize projects, while simultaneously meeting deadlines and prioritizing your day.
  • Business: A reasonable level of business insight: knowing how to deal with customers, and staff. Professional, yet assertive.
  • Administrative: data entry, scheduling, price negotiations, invoicing, filing and more
  • Marketing: reasonable understanding of day to day marketing trends, social media, use of different platforms, etc.

Responsibilities and Activities:

  • Manage the inbound phone calls from patients wanting to book appointments
  • Communicate the value of our services (in person and on the phone)
  • Successfully handle price/money objections
  • Hold a lengthy (at least 15-20 minute) conversation with new patients on the phone ensuring that patients are committed and bought into our service
  • Ensure people show up excited for their first appointment after scheduling
  • Provide an exceptional waiting room environment for our patients that they’ll look forward to coming back to
  • Communicate with patients before, during and after appointments to ensure satisfaction is being achieved
  • Ensure that all invoices are raised on time, every time and are sent to the appropriate person (in house or externally)
  • Organize and plan all schedules – maximizing efficiency and revenue for the clinic
  • Foster deep relationships with patients ensuring NPS score hits agreed levels
  • Develop and regularly update the procedures library so that every aspect of the role is documented and can be achieved by anyone else in the business and when you are away

Skills Required:

1. Great communication and empathy skills:        – Be able to hold meaningful conversations with prospective patients on the phone for longer than 20 minutes (empathy)

  • Be able to answer all questions asked on the phone in a such a way that increases the likelihood that the person asking will want to become a customer (insightful and knowledgeable)
  • Recall names and faces of patients and in doing so making all our patients feel welcomed and remembered
  • Provide a warm and welcoming greeting to patients when they arrive in the clinic (experience)
  • Enjoy making people feel welcomed and happy. Must have a proven track record for working face to face with patients and being able to speak confidently on the phone.
  • Honesty: truthfulness, loyalty, fairness, along with the absence of any misrepresentation, lying, cheating, theft, etc.
  • Open communication

2. Organization and planning skills:– Plans and organizes, schedules and budgets in an efficient, productive manner. Focuses on key priorities.

  • Follows through on commitments lives up to verbal and written agreements regardless of circumstances
  • Demonstrates an ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information
  • Attention to detail: does not let important details slip through the cracks
  • Persistence: Demonstrates tenacity and willingness to go the distance to get something done
  • Proactive: Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.
  • Accountability: actively seeks feedback and takes an active role in self improvement.

4. Multitasking: Has the ability and no objections to performing various tasks, (including tasks outside of the role they were hired for), as required, especially at the beginning (including light housekeeping, maintaining cleanliness of the clinic, etc).

5. Health promotion: interested in pursuing and promoting healthier lifestyle, including physical activity and plant based nutrition.
