Feeling Sick – Natural Immune Support

One of the most common questions I get from patients is:
“What do you use when you’re sick?”

Honestly? I love this question. At our clinic, we’re all about evidence-based healthcare — but when it comes to supporting recovery and boosting the immune system naturally, I always lean into the safest, most effective natural tools I’ve personally come to trust.

So after years of being asked, I’ve finally decided to put it all in one place — because when I’m truly unwell, this is my go-to Essential Oil Capsule Blend. And let me tell you — it works, and it works fast.

When You’re Down for the Count

This wasn’t just a little off-day. Earlier this week, I got hit hard. Fever spiked to 38.5°C, my body ached, my head was foggy and heavy, and every step felt like a chore. Even walking to the bathroom felt like running a marathon. All I wanted to do was lie down and stay still. Zero energy. Zero appetite. Zero motivation.

As I always do, I reached for the one thing that has helped me and my family more times than I can count:
💊 My never-fail, get-well-fast veggie capsule blend of Certified Pure Tested Grade (CPTG) essential oils.

I took one capsule every 4 hours for about 40 hours straight — and by the end of day two, I felt about 85% better. My energy returned, my head felt clearer, and I was finally back on track.

🌿 My Essential Oil Capsule Blend: What’s Inside & Why It Works

Here’s what goes into my veggie capsule — all using only CPTG essential oils:

  • Frankincense – The “king of oils.” Known for its immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory effects¹. It also amplifies the benefits of other oils.
  • Oregano – A powerful natural defender. Traditionally used for its potent antimicrobial and antiviral properties².
  • Thyme – Strengthening and warming. A true immune booster³.
  • Tea Tree (Melaleuca) – Purifying and cleansing, especially helpful during seasonal threats⁴.
  • Clove – High in antioxidants and great for immune support⁵.
  • Lemongrass – Detoxifying and energizing⁶. It adds a refreshing touch to the blend.
  • OnGuard® – A proprietary blend featuring clove, cinnamon, eucalyptus, wild orange, and rosemary — all well-known for their immune-supportive and cleansing properties.

💧 Throughout the day, I also add a couple of drops of Lemon essential oil to my water — it’s bright, refreshing, uplifting, and gently detoxifying⁷.

🌍 Why I Only Trust doTERRA Oils

Not all essential oils are created equally. After years of research and personal testing, I now exclusively use doTERRA oils — not just for myself, but for my family and many of our clinic’s patients who use them as part of their “get well fast” routines.

Here’s why:

Purity & Potency – Most of thier oils are sourced from the region where the plant naturally thrives, ensuring optimal therapeutic benefits.
Transparency – Every batch is third-party tested, so I know exactly what’s in it — and more importantly, what’s not (no fillers, no contaminants, no synthetic additives). That level of trust matters deeply, especially when using oils internally.
Ethical Sourcing – Their Co-Impact Sourcing® — a globally recognized model that partners directly with farmers and distillers in over 40 countries. This approach not only ensures the oils are exceptionally pure and potent, but also ethically and responsibly sourced. By creating long-term, sustainable relationships with local communities, doTERRA helps provide fair wages, long-term contracts, and supports initiatives like clean water, schools, and healthcare. It’s one of the most transparent and impactful sourcing practices in the essential oil world today.

🧪 Does This Replace Medical Care?

Absolutely not.

This blend is something I use as part of my personal wellness protocol. It’s what I reach for when I or my kids feel like we’re coming down with something — or when I want to give my body a natural immune boost.

But always, always consult your healthcare provider before trying anything new — especially when it comes to internal use of essential oils. What works beautifully for one person may not be right for another. Natural doesn’t always mean risk-free, and quality + guidance make all the difference.
